The name.
You know Wheel of Fortune? They have a category called Before & After - “two phrases or names, hooked together by a common word that starts one phrase and ends the other”. So…
Bullet Proof Read = Bullet Proof + Proof Read.
Bullet-Proof from the Radiohead song Bulletproof… I wish I was.
Proof-Read from journalism classes, my stint as editorial assistant and proofreading work I still sometimes do. My passion for a grammatically flawless world.
And to promote my proofreading services, Bullet Proof Read is an amazingly apt name. Bullet speed, bulletproof, proofreading. :-)

Why blother?
Yeah. A lot of blogs look and sound the same. But I like having penned my thoughts, experiences and reflections. It’s often those Eureka! (Aha!) moments that I love to share. And being able to easily access them is a bonus. Looking back at thoughts a whole year ago, for example, gives insight into what might have changed, remained or completely disappeared from around and within.
Certainly, the few of you who read, benefit and appreciate also make it well worth the effort. Thank you.
Ahh, the perks. Alhamdulillah.
